Why does Stable Audio 2.0 cost 2 track credits?

With the improved model quality we have added track credits to Stable Audio to match the generation time it wakes to create this output.

  • Stable Audio 1.0 costs 1 credit
  • Stable Audio 1.1 costs 1 credit
  • Stable Audio 2.0 costs 2 credits

Is every piece of generated audio unique?

Yes. Every time you generate a sound file using Stable Audio, our AI models create something unique. You won’t get the same piece of audio twice.

How do I write a text prompt that will work well?

We encourage you to experiment, and find what works well for you! If you need assistance, we’ve included some tips in our User Guide.

What is Stable Audio?

Stable Audio is a website that lets you create music for use in commercial or non-commercial projects, using AI music generation models to do so. It’s built by Stability AI.

What data was this model trained on?

The AI model behind Stable Audio was trained on music from our partners AudioSparx.

Will this model be open sourced?

We will be open sourcing a music generation model soon, trained on different data.

How can I delete my account?

If you want to delete your account, please get in touch with us here, and we will help you close it.

Billing

How can I cancel my subscription or update my payment information?

To manage your subscription and update payment details, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account on our website, you can cancel your subscription by selecting your avatar in the top right corner.
  2. Select "Manage payments."
  3. Stripe will send you an email with instructions. Follow the provided instructions to either cancel your subscription or update your payment methods.

When will my subscription renew?

All paid subscriptions renew automatically on the same day of the month and time of day you subscribed.

The free plan renews on the first of each month.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my subscription and what happens?

Yes, you have the flexibility to upgrade or downgrade at any time by visiting your account page on our website.

In the case of upgrades, you will be upgraded to the new subscription immediately and charged a prorated amount, inclusive of VAT/sales tax if applicable. The prorated payment is calculated based on the timing of the upgrade within the current month's billing cycle.

Can I get a refund?

Stable Audio may give refunds on subscription charges in our discretion, depending on the circumstances below.

  • If a purchase is accidentally made by a friend or family member.
  • If you find a stable Audio subscription charge on your card or other payment method that you didn't make and that wasn't made by anyone you know.
  • Your refund request is made within submitted within 48 hours of the subscription charge and your usage is below 2% of the allotted monthly generations.

Refund requests are processed manually, and you can contact us here. We aim to respond within 2-3 business days. If there's a slight delay, rest assured we'll honor your request based on the submission date.

For payment processing, we use Stripe, and refunds are typically credited to your bank within 5-10 business days, this is dependent on your bank.

Note:We reserve the right to decline or provide a prorated refund if there are indications of potential abuse of our refund policy. Our goal is to maintain fairness for all users.

What are the specific allowable uses for music generated under the Creator license?

The Creator license enables you to use your generated audio for individual commercial projects and music releases, this includes music streaming platforms, social media, personal podcasts, videos, and commercial products with a monthly active user (MAU) below 100,000. It's important to note that views and follows on social media, reels, and videos do not impact the MAU count. Can I cancel my subscription at any time and what happens to my audio license when I cancel my subscription?

Certainly! You have the flexibility to cancel your subscription at any time. It's important to note that audio generated on Pro and higher tiers remains covered under the original license even after cancellation. However, it is essential to continue adhering to the usage rights specified in the original paid tier. Review our terms of service for commercial use details.

How can I get more tracks than in the pricing tiers a month?

Get in touch with us here - we’re very happy to discuss higher track limits on a case-by-case basis.

Do my unused generations in one month roll over to the next?

No, your unused generations don’t roll over.

How do I cancel my subscription? What happens?

You can cancel your subscription by selecting your account avatar in the website’s main menu. Verify your account via Stripe and tap ‘Cancel Subscription’ in the top right corner. You will be immediately downgraded to the free tier, and lose access to any remaining track allowance from your Pro subscription.

Uploading audio

Does Stable Audio detect copyright audio that’s being uploaded?

You should only upload music that you have the necessary rights to. We automatically scan uploaded music to see if it might be owned by someone else. If the music is detected as potentially being owned by someone else, we don’t allow you to use it on Stable Audio.

What happens when my uploaded audio doesn’t pass copyright checks?

Your uploaded audio file is deleted.

When audio has been detected for copyright and deleted this time amount will be taken off of your monthly allowance.

For example:

  • When you have 2 minutes and 0 seconds of audio upload,
  • you upload a 30 second track that is detected as belonging to someone else, the audio will be deleted,
  • and the remaining amount you can upload for that billing month is 1 minutes 30 seconds.

Why has my audio been cropped?

Depending on the tier you are on your audio file is cropped.

Free users are cropped to 30 seconds.

Paying customer can upload 3 minutes. Why 3 minutes? This is based on the length of audio you can generate on Stable Audio.

I’ve used all of my monthly uploads. How do I get more?

Depending on what tier you are on, you can upgrade to a higher tier to be able to upload more.

    • Audio cropped to 30 seconds
  • Pro tier:
    • 30 minutes of uploaded audio a month
    • Audio cropped to 3 minutes
  • Studio tier:
    • 60 minutes of uploaded audio a month
    • Audio cropped to 3 minutes
  • Max tier:
    • 90 minutes of uploaded audio a month
    • Audio cropped to 3 minutes

Recording in browser issues?

Using bluetooth headphones can cause latency when recording on you mobile or laptop. For the best experience use a wired mic to reduce the latency down when recording.

Are the audio files I upload part of the training dataset for Stable Audio models?

No, the audio files you upload are not included in the training dataset for our audio models. Your uploaded audio is only used during your interactions with Stable Audio without becoming part of the model's training data.

However, note that the generated audio resulting from your interactions (not your uploaded audio) may be used to improve and train the model now or in the future.

This ensures ongoing model refinement and enhancement based while maintaining the privacy of individual uploaded audio data. Please review our terms of service.
